This artisanal Ruth Y Nohemi tote bag features a dual-sided design crafted from 100% hand-loomed cotton, showcasing traditional Guatemalan textile techniques. One face is constructed from black cotton and features a detailed hand-embroidered motif of figures from around the world holding hands in a circle around a central globe, representing a theme of global unity and peace. The reverse side offers a contrasting aesthetic with a textured, hand-loomed pattern of teal, emerald green, and navy blue horizontal stripes. Originating from the fair trade project based in Chichicastenango, this large-format bag combines cultural folk art with functional everyday utility.
