The 1979 edition represents the debut of Goebel's long-running crystal egg series, produced by the Charlottenhutte glassworks in Western Germany. These pieces are highly sought after by holiday collectors for their intricate molded patterns and historical significance as the inaugural release of the collection.

• Goebel 1979 First Edition Egg: Frosted satin glass featuring a molded floral and scroll motif with "1979" date medallion; original manufacturer sticker present on upper surface.

• Original Collection Box: Blue Goebel First Edition packaging with silver-tone text and manufacturer branding.

Condition: The frosted glass egg is in excellent structural condition with a crisp pattern and intact date medallion; the original sticker shows age-related lifting and adhesive residue. The chrome egg displays a brilliant mirror finish with light surface micro-scratches consistent with vintage handling. The original box remains structurally sound but exhibits visible shelf wear, corner bumping, and minor cardboard delamination at the top closure.
