This is a pair of vintage hand-carved pottery bud vases featuring the sgraffito technique, where patterns are incised through the glaze to reveal the clay body. One vase has a terracotta brown glaze, the other a deep blue-black. The intricate geometric motifs are inspired by Pre-Columbian art, characteristic of folk art pottery from regions like Mexico or Peru, making them excellent decorative pieces.

• Contrasting set: one glossy terracotta brown and one dark blue-black finish.

Condition: Good vintage condition. The brown vase has a small chip on its top rim, which is visible in the photos. The black vase shows no discernible chips or cracks. Both pieces have light surface wear and some dust in the carved design, consistent with age. They display well as a complementary pair.
