How do I place an order?

Browse our online store, add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You can pay with credit/debit cards, PayPal, or other listed payment options.

Can I use my Goodwill Rewards account online?

Yes! Just click the Rewards widget in the bottom right corner of the shop.fredgoodwill.org page to link your account and start earning points for online purchases—just like you do in-store. Please note, rewards are not available on other marketplaces.

How do I merge my account?

Click on the Rewards widget at the bottom right of the screen and follow the steps to merge your account:

Step 1: Open the Rewards Panel

Click the red Rewards button in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Sign In

In the Rewards pop-up, click “Sign in” if you’re already a rewards member.

Step 3: Enter Your Email

Enter the email address associated with your Goodwill Rewards account.

Step 4: Enter Verification Code

Check your inbox for a 6-digit code and enter it to verify your email.

Step 5: Return to the Main Site

Once signed in, click the “Shop” link in the top navigation to return to the storefront.

Step 6: Complete Your Profile

Fill out your profile details – name, mobile number (required to link in-store rewards), and optional birthday.

Step 7: Link In-Store Rewards

If your number matches an in-store rewards account, you’ll see a prompt to merge profiles. Click “Merge” to link them.

Note: This action cannot be reversed.

Step 8: Rewards Are Now Linked

After merging, your points will display in the Rewards panel (e.g., “181 points”).

Do physical store points apply at other Goodwill stores in USA?

No—this program is our unique gift to
Rappahannock Goodwill members and physical store points can only be earned at Rappahannock goodwill Stores.

Do online prices match in-store prices?

Prices may vary between online and in-store due to special online promotions or limited-time offers.

What are the shipping options and costs?

Shipping options and rate depend on your order size and weight. Available options and costs will be shown at checkout.

Warehouse pickups are typically available by the following business day. Please allow 5 business days for processing a shipped order.

Do you offer in-store pickup?

Most items are eligible for free pickup at our warehouse. The location is 4701 Market Street in Fredericksburg, VA. Please select the "pickup" option at checkout.

Pickup is available Monday - Friday 8am - 3pm ET. Orders are typically available for pickup the following business day.

What is your return policy?

We take pride in offering unique, one-of-a-kind items. Because of this, all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns or exchanges. Feel free to use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the site to ask questions prior to purchase.

If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us right away. We’ll be happy to assist you in filing a claim with the carrier to resolve the issue.

How does shopping online support Goodwill?

What’s the difference between ShopGoodwill bidding and the Rewards Marketplace?

ShopGoodwill is auction-style, where you bid against shoppers nationwide for the thrill of the win.

The Reward Marketplace, on the other hand, is your exclusive space as a Rappahannock Goodwill Rewards member—where prices are direct (no bidding), points apply automatically once your account is merged, and perks are designed with our local friends and neighbors in mind.

Both sites support our mission of empowering people through the power of work, but they offer different experiences: ShopGoodwill brings the excitement of bidding, while the Reward Marketplace elevates your membership by making shopping simple, rewarding, and community-focused.

Why are some items available for shipping while others are pickup only?

We offer both shippable and pickup-only items to give you the best value. Certain products are only available for in-store pickup because of their size, weight, or handling requirements. This helps you avoid high carrier fees that don’t go to supporting our mission but directly to the shipping companies facilitating the service. By keeping some items pickup-only, we can pass those savings along to you.

Why can’t I check out when my cart has a mix of items?

Because we offer both shipping and pickup-only options, the system requires your cart to have one delivery method. If you have a mix of items, you’ll need to either:

  • Switch your shippable items to in-store pickup, or
  • Remove the pickup-only item(s) to complete your order with shipping.

This prevents unexpected costs and keeps your order simple, cost-effective, and easy to manage. Our goal is to make sure you’re not paying unnecessary fees while still getting the items you love in the most convenient way.
